We’re so excited to share this gallery with you today! We were honoured to work with John and Peter to tell their story, and we loved helping them bring together a heartfelt, beautiful wedding in Capri.
We had the pleasure of first speaking with this couple in December, and we were delighted when they chose to make Capri the backdrop for their magical wedding day.
We used our expertise, connections, and insider knowledge of the wonders of Capri to support them with everything from the venue to the most minute details, and we loved partnering with them in this relationship so full of honesty and trust.
We helped them design all the personal touches that would make guests feel loved and welcome in this Italian adventure, and that would echo the luscious nature of the beautiful island of Capri. We curated personalised welcome bags for each guest with charming, characteristic items to set the tone for the party – like ice cream coupons, local sweets, almond pastries, Limoncello, a bespoke map and schedule for the weekend, and even a fun little book to decipher Italian hand gestures.
Both the grooms have large, tightly-knit families, with five beautiful children between them, and every element of this wedding paid homage to how loving and close the family is.
On the evening before the wedding we hosted a wedding welcome dinner at Da Paolino, under a exquisite canopy of lemon trees, featuring course upon course of delicious, authentic island cuisine. A local folk band, Scialapopolo Capri, joyously welcomed John, Peter, and their loved ones – and even came back for a surprise encore at the end of the meal! Food was served on sharing platters as a family style dinner, with lots of fresh ingredients local to this stunning Mediterranean island. As the evening went on, wine flowed and laughter erupted, and we were so pleased to see our couple so happy. Capri truly is the best wedding destination for foodies!
On the wedding day, our grooms started their day at their luxury villa, before setting off to spend some quality time with their children on a vintage, open-roof tour of the Island, which offered them some spectacular photo opportunities and some relaxed quiet time before the celebrations began in earnest.
John and Peter chose the beautiful Il Riccio Beach Club and Restaurant in Anacapri as their ceremony and reception venue, which is a Michelin star restaurant with breathtaking views of the sea. This is no ordinary venue! Everything about this location is like a dream come true, and we were delighted that they chose this perfect location for their celebrations in Capri!
After a romantic ceremony of heart-warming readings and vows, set to a backdrop of bright fuchsia bougainvillea and richly scented lemon trees, the guests were then treated to al fresco aperitifs on the terrace, surrounded by nature and stunning views of the island and waves.
For their dinner we designed a magical tablescape lined with small orange trees, lemons, and crisp white flowers – a modern, soulful, and truly experiential wedding that delighted all the senses. The couple wanted a sophisticated Capri wedding that enhanced the natural surroundings and views, so we made their dream come true. Hundreds of tea lights twinkled from suspended glass ornaments, creating an intimate and enchanting atmosphere where guests could relax and reconnect. Their wedding was stylish and welcoming, and we loved designing this concept for them!
The entertainment and musical performances of this wedding were like no other – we started with a violinist for the ceremony, who was then joined by a saxophonist for the dinner, and then a fantastic percussionist and DJ, and all together they kept the guests dancing all evening! There was also a cheerful photobooth for guests to enjoy with a personalised backdrop of Capri, to complement the custom illustrations that had featured on the bespoke stationery suite, the personalised pillows on each armchair at the ceremony, and the ceramic ring holder keepsake.
As the day came to a close, the sky lit up with a fiery pink sunset that took our breaths away, and ended what had been an absolutely magical and fun-filled day. What a fantastic way to get married in Capri!
